Kang Peng
Investor
Kang is currently an Investment Director within the Real Assets team based in New York, with a decade of investing and transaction experience in infrastructure. He joined in November 2021 as AustralianSuper’s first investment team member.
Kang joined AustralianSuper with expertise in infrastructure investments within both the North American and APAC regions, most recently with Transurban Group where he was involved in over US$15 billion in transactions (including the A25 acquisition in Montreal, WestConnex acquisition in Sydney and Transurban Chesapeake divestiture in Virginia). During his time at Transurban Group, he led the corporate finance function in North America and managed a team of 4 other investment professionals.
Prior to Transurban, Kang was part of the Infrastructure, Utilities and Renewables investment banking team at Macquarie Capital in Melbourne where he worked across various infrastructure sub-sectors.
At AustralianSuper, Kang concentrates on building up the Real Assets equity portfolio within the Americas and provides coverage in various sub-sectors (specifically digital infrastructure and transport / logistics). Kang currently is part of the asset management team overseeing AustralianSuper’s investments in Quinbrook, Stonepeak and Generate Capital.
Kang received a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters in Finance, both from the University of Melbourne.
