While New York Angels Members invest individually in each company, they bring much more value to the table than just capital. Through the vast network that NYA maintains, NYA Members can introduce entrepreneurs and investors to our ecosystem to provide additional support.
START-UP ECOSYSTEM
INCUBATORS & ACCELERATORS
New York Angels help incubators and accelerators by providing investor perspective on topics such as: how to build an investor pitch deck, how to find the right investors for your startup, how to prepare for due diligence, etc. NYA offers mock demo-days, office hours, and one-to-one investor/entrepreneur mentoring. NYA Members also attend events frequently to identify potential companies as a key source of deal flow.
VENTURE CAPITAL
FIRMS
New York Angels are known for their ability to invest relatively quickly in a streamlined process. When a company has already secured primary fundraising through a VC, but needs to complete their investment round, NYA can help fill the round. When NYA is leading a deal, we also work with VCs to help complete the round, if needed.
ANGEL INVESTOR NETWORKS
New York Angels has also developed angel network partnerships with other angel groups across the country. These collaborations allow for syndication of deal flow. Founders also often commend New York Angels Members for creating a variety of connections (including angel investors in other angel groups) that help them grow their business.
