Mr. Navar comes with a background in Investing, Startups, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Business. Mr. Navar is a Member of New York Angels, which is one of the most active Angel Investing groups in the world.
In 2003, Mr. Navar Founded LiveDeal, Inc and as its CEO built it into a leading online classifieds and yellow pages company. In 2007 LiveDeal merged with YP.com, an online yellow pages and telemarketing company, and Mr. Navar served as the President and Board member of the merged company (LiveDeal/YP). The company was listed on Nasdaq in 2008 and Navar served as Chairman of the board from May 2008 to Oct 2009.
Prior to LiveDeal, Mr. Navar, Joined eBay's startup team, in 1998, as a Principal Engineer and soon became its technology Architect. He was part of the startup team that took eBay public (NASD: EBAY) and created one of the most successful e-commerce companies in the world. As its Principal Engineer and Architect, he was responsible for the design, development and scaling of eBay's Search Engine and its Architecture. Prior to eBay, he was at a couple of other startups, in software development, where he worked on Artificial Intelligence and Internet Technologies.
Rajesh Navar holds an M.S. in Business Management from Stanford University and an M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from India.
